Viva Las Vegas!!

Wearing a leopard maxi form a local boutique, Pelle Moda espadrilles, Michael Kors watch.

Last weekend the boyfriend & I went on a little mini vaca to Vegas!!
We had SO much fun lounging by the pool, hanging out with his family, seeing LOVE by cirque du soleil & staying up waaay too late gambling in the casinos :)

I have to say that i'm not too impressed with the restaurnts in Vegas for some reason.  I think most of them are overpriced & because we're spoiled here in Orange County with awesome restaurants & fresh seafood, Vegas just doesn't do it for me.

We did, however, go to a tapas restaurant off the strip called Firefly that was really yummy, inexpensive & fun!   For the four of us, each of us having a couple cocktails each (the sangria is really yummy), dinner was under $150 & we left STUFFED.  I reccomend the piella, stuffed dates & tuna tartar!!  Yumm.

Tin Roof Bistro

If you're ever in Manhattan Beach, I'd reccomend this yummy restaurant!  We went here a couple weeks ago for a girlfriend's birthday & absolutely loved everything!

What we ordered:
Skinny Margarita (I'm on a kick right now) & my bf ordered a glass of Merlot

We ordered the curried spinach dip, honey goat cheese & flat bread, brussel sprouts, filet skewers, & fig pizza.  Everything was really good, especially the brussel sprouts!  We also ordered the individual desserts in shot glasses but were too full to eat them & brought in a fancy shmancy bottle of Pinot that we ended up drinking there (the waitress didn't charge corkage so she got an extra good tip ;))!

All said & done, each couple spent about $75.  NOT BAD AT ALL!

Happy Birthday Katie!!

Trader Joe's Reserve

YAY to AMAZING wine under $10!  I stumbled across this amazing find at Trader Joe's by accident, but think that it can be nothing else but FATE.  My FAVORITE wine in the world is from a winery in Sonoma called Mazzocco.  I used to be a part of their wine club until the $50 bottles started putting a serious dent in my bank account.  Since then, oh how I've missed sipping on their deliciousness... UNTIL NOW!  Trader Joe's Reserve Cab & Zin are MADE BY MAZZOCCO.  I've purchased a few bottles of each for dinner parties & parties of one (me) on my couch & I can honestly say, for $10 you can't get any better.

GO TO TJ'S NOW & THANK ME LATER :)
Ps.  If you ever want to try an amazing Dry Creek Valley Zin, order a bottle directly from the winery.  Ahhhmazzing.
